The Radeon RX 6850M XT was a mobile graphics chip by AMD, launched on January 4th, 2022. Built on the 7 nm process, and based on the Navi 22 graphics processor, in its Navi 22 XTM variant, the chip supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. This ensures that all modern games will run on Radeon RX 6850M XT. Additionally, the DirectX 12 Ultimate capability guarantees support for hardware-raytracing, variable-rate shading and more, in upcoming video games. The Navi 22 graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 335 mm² and 17,200 million transistors. It features 2560 shading units, 160 texture mapping units, and 64 ROPs. The card also has 40 raytracing acceleration cores. AMD has paired 12 GB GDDR6 memory with the Radeon RX 6850M XT, which are connected using a 192-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 2321 MHz, which can be boosted up to 2581 MHz, memory is running at 2250 MHz (18 Gbps effective).
