Built on the 14 nm process, and based on the Ellesmere graphics processor, in its Ellesmere XTA variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. AMD has paired 8 GB GDDR5 memory with the Radeon Pro 580, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1100 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1200 MHz, memory is running at 1695 MHz (6.8 Gbps effective).
