The FirePro W9000 was an enthusiast-class professional graphics card by AMD, launched on June 14th, 2012. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Tahiti graphics processor, in its Tahiti XT GL variant, the card supports DirectX 12. The Tahiti graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 352 mm² and 4,313 million transistors. It features 2048 shading units, 128 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs.
