The FirePro W7000 was an enthusiast-class professional graphics card by AMD, launched on June 13th, 2012. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Pitcairn graphics processor, in its Pitcairn XT GL variant, the card supports DirectX 12. The Pitcairn graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 212 mm² and 2,800 million transistors. It features 1280 shading units, 80 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs.
